Fractal geometry , information growth and nonextensive thermodynamics

چکیده
This is a study of the information evolution of complex systems by a geometrical consideration. We look at chaotic systems evolving in fractal phase space. The entropy change in time due to the fractal geometry is assimilated to the information growth through the scale refinement. Due to the incompleteness of the state number counting at any scale on fractal support, the incomplete normalization i p q i = 1 is applied throughout the paper, where q is the fractal dimension divided by the dimension of the smooth Euclidean space in which the fractal structure of the phase space is embedded. It is shown that the information growth is nonadditive and is proportional to the trace-form i p i − i p q i which can be connected to several nonadditive entropies. This information growth can be extremized to give power law distributions for these non-equilibrium systems. It can also lead to a nonextensive thermodynamics for heterogeneous systems which contain subsystems each having its own q. It is shown that, within this thermodynamics, the Stefan-Boltzmann law of blackbody radiation can be preserved.

متن کاملFailure of Standard Thermodynamics in Planck Scale Black Hole System
The final stage of the black hole evaporation is a matter of debates in the existing literature. In this paper, we consider this problem within two alternative approaches: noncommutative geometry(NCG) and the generalized uncertainty principle(GUP). We compare the results of two scenarios to find a relation between parameters of these approaches. Our results show some extraordinary thermodynamic...
متن کاملProbabilistic properties of nonextensive thermodynamic
Based on the Tsallis entropy, the nonextensive thermodynamic properties are studied as a qdeformation of classical statistical results using only probabilistic methods and straightforward calculations. It is shown that the constant in the Tsallis entropy depends on the deformation parameter and must be redefined to recover the usual thermodynamic relations. The notions of variance and covarianc...

Geometric shapes and motifs are a combination of the human spiritual mind which sees the existence of beautiful and paints a historical civilization through this vision. The geometric motifs are an expression of the rhythmic and balanced human beings possessions when the human being wants to imagine beyond the present and create a world full of love. The patterns/shapes are the basis of artwork...
متن کاملField - Theoretical Methods and Nonextensive Systems
The Boltzmann-Gibbs statistical mechanics and the standard thermodynamics are very useful in the discussion of extensive systems. However, they are not good to study situations where nonextensive e ects occur, for instance, systems involving long-range interactions (e. g., d = 3 gravitation)[1, 2], long-range microscopic memory[3], and systems with a relevant (multi)fractal-like structure. On t...
